Aside from software, one of my biggest interests has always been electronic music. So, it's only natural that I try to meld these two interests once in awhile, and when I do, I like to share. So, here is Coffeeshopped's first offering in the music software space: a patch editor for the Casio CZ-101 synthesizer.
The editor was built using Max/MSP, and allows you to change the sound of your current patch directly from your computer. Any change made on-screen is instantly sent to the synthesizer. I find this tool especially useful for playing with the envelopes on the CZ-101... one of the rare features of this synth is its 8-step envelope generators, and managing complex envelopes with the buttons on the synth is, in my opinion, a complete pain.
Anyway, if you happen to have one of these synths, then give the editor a try. I found that it really opened up new possibilities for me, and I don't know of any other similar software available.
