Three weeks on the heels of the Proteus 2000 family editors' release comes a new batch of Patch Base editors, this time for the Access Virus family: Virus A, Virus B, Virus KB, Virus Indigo, and Virus Classic. All available now on Mac and iPad!
Here I'll talk about the Virus B editor specifically; the Virus A has some slight differences, and the others all have the same parameters as the B.
Voice Editor
The Voice editor lays out all of the Virus parameters in two pages.
The Main page of the editor lays out the oscillators, filters, amp and envelopes. the LFOs and Mods are also all accessible on this page, in tabbed sections. The layout is designed to give you immediate access to all the core parts of a voice design at a glance.

The FX/Arp page then shows you all of the different effects sections, and the arpeggiator section. The envelopes, LFOs, and Mods are all repeated on this page as well so that you can view and tweak them while you're working with the fx and arp.

Multi and Part Editors
The Multi editor shows everything involved in setting up a Multi: select the sounds from any of the banks, set levels, low and high keys, audio outs, and more.

And if you want to tweak any of the sounds used by the Multi, there's an editor for each of the 16 Parts in the multi. You can fetch, edit, and save any of them individually.
Bank Editors
The regular Patch Base bank editors are here for fetching, editing, and backing up both Voice Banks and the Multi Bank as well. You can also use the Backup section to fetch them all at once and save them together in a single file.
A Short Demo
Here's a quick video demonstrating the setup and features of the editor:
Thanks and More
I want to say thanks again this time to Captain Black's Gear Emporium for lending me a Virus A and Virus B for development and testing. The Captain is regularly selling all of the various Virus models, as well as other synths. Check them out.
Also, for those with a Virus C, Virus TI, or Virus TI Snow, Patch Base already supports those as well! Take a peek at those editor pages.
Up next? You'll find out soon! I'm cooking up more editors regularly, and as fast as I can. If there's something in particular you want to see added to Patch Base: Vote early, vote often!
