Tahoe and Licensing Problems

Several people have been encountering issues with their Patch Base for Mac license when using Tahoe. Here are the steps to deal with it (and my apologies for the manual nature of the fix):

If you've previously entered your license, but Patch Base is showing up as “locked”, and/or you're trying to “Deactivate All Access” and getting an error when you try, you'll need to remove the stored licensing files manually. Removing these files will not affect your patch library.

  1. Open a Finder window, and go to your Home directory.
  2. Press Cmd + Shift + . (This tells the Finder to show you "hidden" folders). Now you should be able to see the "Library" folder in your Home directory.
  3. Go to Library > Application Support > Patch Base.
In there you should see one or more files that end in .padl. Delete all of them. These are the files that Patch Base uses to store licenses.
  4. Restart Patch Base, and  it should now show All Access as deactivated.
  5. Re-enter your license.
