FM Voice Editor
At the heart of the Yamaha DX200 is the voice of the DX7. And you don't have to be a wizard to program DX7 sounds. You just need good controls. Patch Base makes FM easy to work with by showing you the layout of the currently selected algorithm and the envelopes and settings of each operator. You can finally visualize what's going on inside of am FM patch, and once you do, it's not that complicated.
- See the layout of the current FM algorithm, with the envelope shapes and ratio settings of each operator
- Copy/paste the settings for entire operators
- Copy/paste envelopes for quick editing
- Easily edit the pitch envelope and LFO settings
Pattern Editor
Beyond the DX7 engine, the DX200 is a groovebox. Every groove is stored as a Pattern, and Patch Base makes it easy to fully customize every part of it:
- Create 2 scenes per pattern with different filter, FM, envelope, and effect settings so you can morph between them for real-time playability
- Use the Free EG editor to free-hand draw envelope shapes, or use several tools to shape envelopes in more systematic ways (lines, smoothing, randomization, shifting, and scaling)
- Use the 4 sequence editors (1 for synth, 3 for rhythm) to finely edit every aspect of your loops. They're a great way to perfect patterns that you record on the DX200 itself.
Bank Editor
Patch Base's Bank Editor lets you change and organize the 128 saved sounds on your DX200. You can easily save a bank to a file for back up and storage, and import entire new banks in seconds.
